Bibbulmun Track Accommodation
Blue Wren Travellers Rest offers acccommodation to walkers who are walking the Bibbulmun Track. With double, twin and dormitory accommodation we can offer walkers support andadvice. Situated right in the heart of Denmark we are within a short distance of all the shops, restaurants etc.The track has been in existence in various forms since 1974. The current alignment was opened in September 1988. It's total length is around 987km as it stretches from the Perth suburb of Kalamunda in the North to Albany in the south. It is well serviced along the way with 48 shelters at a distance of 10 -20 km apart. The Bibbulmun track is marked at regular intervals with a familiar triangle shaped markers. Maintenance is carried out by the Department of Conservation and Land Management in cooperation with the Bibbulmun Track Foundation. Much of the work is done by teams of local volunteers. At the hostel we are well versed with the track conditions through our involvement with track maintenance. Staying with us we will be able to give you good advice as to how to proceed. Weather and conditions are rapidly changing and it is good to know what you might encounter before you get there.  |
