Thai Massage In Denmark

Ancient Massage or Thai Massage is an extraordinary method of aligning the energies of the body, and originates from the time of the Buddha.

Nuad Phaen Boran as is it called in Thailand, correctly translates only as Ancient Massage or Traditional Massage. More widely known today as Thai Massage, it is also often called Traditional Thai Massage, Ancient Thai Massage and occasionally Yoga Massage or Thai Yoga Massage.

Originating in India and drawing from Ayurveda, it has inevitably incorporated modalities like yoga. The receiver is put into many yoga like positions during the course of the massage. In the northern style there are a lot of stretching movements unlike the southern style where pressure is emphasised. It was believed that the massage art was brought over to Thailand by Shivago Komarpaj (Jivaka Kumarabhacca), a contemporary of Buddha almost about 2500 years ago.

The massage generally follows the Sen lines on the body-somewhat analogous to Chinese Meridians and Indian nadis. In some gestures, legs and feet of the giver are used to fixate the body or limbs of the recipient. In other gestures, hands fixate the body, while the feet do the massaging action. No oil is used and the receiver remains fully clothed.

It's like a mixture of Yoga and Chinese acupressure. The receiver lies passive on the floor while the practitioner used hands, feet, elbows etc. to take the client through a series of postures. Don't get too put off by the little sketch above. I don't do that one. If you are walking on the Bibbulmun Track, this is exactly what your body needs.

I trained in Chiang Mai, Thailand during 2006 and 2007. He has studied at and completed training at The International Thai Massage School as well as the Namo Massage Centre.

60-90 Minute Sessions available for $25-00

A very reasonable price as I am still learning, but after a year of practicing and two visits to Chiang Mai I give a good massage. - Graham Mason
